My research focuses on unravelling how societies anticipate drought-to-flood risk futures using anticipatory processes and narratives. In anticipating drought-to-flood risk futures, I am interested to explore how the past and present play a role in either limiting or expanding their imaginations. Moreover, I further unpack drought-to-flood risk futures by focusing on the aspects of risk governance and path (in)dependencies. I hope that this work is able to continue the already intensive work on droughts and floods and provide insights how societies can better anticipate in changing and dynamic environments.
