Research focus

My research aims to foster sustainable consumption among the growing middle classes based on insights from behavioural and experimental economics. The regional focus of my PhD research is on Peru (in particular Lima), where I currently conduct a field experiment to boost recycling behaviour of households. I am interested in understanding what motivates individuals to behave more sustainably, and how policy makers can make use of these findings to design more efficient policies and programmes.
