Research focus

My research focus includes: • Research nutrition intervention studies in low and middle-income countries to contribute towards reducing the prevalence of malnutrition in those regions. • Identifying and fortifying indigenous foods in low and middle-income countries, exploring their potential in preventing and decreasing morbidity and mortality among children under five years of age. • Facilitating discussions among policymakers in these regions on implementing data-driven policies to address nutrition-related issues. I am interested in: • Undertaking research on nutrition-related interventions to contribute towards reducing the prevalence of malnutrition in low- and middle-income countries. • Exploring the potential of multiple micronutrient supplementation in preventing and decreasing morbidity and mortality among children under five years of age, Adolescent girls, and women of reproductive age.

I am committed to promoting evidence-based solutions to improve global health and nutrition.
