Research focus

My interests in the field of mental health have been related to the identification of cognitive-behavioral risk factors, strengthening psychological assessment capacity and evaluating clinical and psychosocial interventions. My work has focused on: sexual and reproductive health, health anxiety, mood disorder and suicidal behavior.

2022 – 2023 - Organization of Iberoamerican States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Colombia (Invitation 002 of 2022) - Macroproject: Creation of a Unit for Social Appropriation of Knowledge of the Processes, Projects and Results of Research, Technological Development and Innovation of the Universidad de la Costa Corporation - Pilot 1: Community intervention project to improve mental health associated with psycho-affective disorders in young Venezuelan migrants residing in the informal settlement, Villa Caracas located in the southwestern part of the city of Barranquilla. Role: Main intervener and researcher.
