I am a nurse and a public health professional with thirteen years of postgraduate clinical and academic experience encompassing emergency medicine, tropical medicine and infectious diseases, global health, migration health and clinical research. I have done fieldwork both in humanitarian responses (Red Cross and King`s College) and in projects concerning collaboration in higher education (University of Addis Abeba). I have a Master’s Degree in International Health specializing in improving quality of care, strengthening international public health collaboration and research into health systems. Since 2018 I have been lecturing in different subjects within global health and migration health, and since 2021 I have been head of the "Public Health in a Global Perspective" course at OsloMet.
