Research focus
I am interested in improving dairy farm efficiency, profitability and environmental sustainability. Calculating whole-farm nutrient mass balances (NMBs) through the Nutrient Management Spear Program is one tool that can identify areas of opportunity for improvement through encouragement of best nutrient management practices. My focus is on the interaction of nutrient management practices with other drivers of dairy sustainability to identify dairy sustainability key performance indicators (KPIs).
