Research focus

I examine identity-related processes and self-expression in organizations, particularly in novel, unstructured, or uncertain contexts, where I examine how employees’ multiple identities affect performance and self-expression. I am interested in studying how work identities and livelihoods of independent workers and entrepreneurs are shaped by macro-level social uncertainty and impending and ongoing events such as Brexit, COVID-19, and refugee- and climate crises.
