Dr Dr Edel Pérez-López

Edel is an Assistant Professor at Université Laval, Département de Phytologie working with clubroot and the soil-borne obligate parasite Plasmodiophora brassicae, causal agent of clubroot, characterizing effector proteins and the mechanisms used by the pathogen to scape plant host immunity. We are also investigating the distribution and insect vectors of phytoplasmas and Xyllela fastidiosa in Canada.
